Online Modules

Each of Jobline LMU's six online modules provides you with step-by-step information and training on a key aspect of the job application procedure. The online modules can be used either for self-study purposes or as part of a Jobline LMU course.

In order to work with the online modules, you need to register with the website. If you have not yet registered with the website, please register now. If you are already a registered user, log in on the left to proceed to the online modules and resources.

Find out about the work opportunities available to you in English- speaking countries and the general job application procedure in Working Abroad. This module also gives you insight into what working abroad is really like with authentic student reports and case studies.
In Job Search you will read about and practise how to look for jobs in English-speaking countries, how to read and analyse English job advertisements and how to analyse and compile company information.
CVs shows you how to lay out your CV in both reverse chronological order and in functional CV format, it helps you decide what is relevant content for your CV, and gives you plenty of language training for writing a CV with a strong impact.
Cover Letters takes you step-by-step through the layout and content of a cover letter and shows you the differences between US and UK style. The module also provides you with language training for writing your own cover letter.
Telephoning provides you with information and practice for basic telephoning skills, examples of different kinds of job hunter telephone calls and many practical tips for making a professional impression on the phone in English.
In English-speaking countries the job candidate's performance
in the interview is usually at least as important as his or her
qualifications on paper. In Interviews we show you what to
expect in a typical job interview and how to prepare for a
successful interview in English.
